Nick Young considering lawsuit against Alexis Jones
Nick Young is considering a lawsuit against the woman who accused him of sexual harassment, according to a report.
A women’s activist named Alexis Jones uploaded a photo to her Instagram account Sunday saying she and her mother had been sexually harassed by a few men. She asked if anyone on social media could identify the men in the photo so they could be properly called out. Two of the men turned out to be Lakers Nick Young and Jordan Clarkson.
The Lakers said Monday they were looking into things, while Young disputed Jones’ version of events in a since-deleted tweet.
On Tuesday the LA Daily News reported that not only are Young and Clarkson disputing Jones’ story, but that Young is also considering filing a lawsuit against Jones.
Separately, Young’s friend and former teammate Gilbert Arenas wrote on Instagram that Jones called the NBA on Friday to try getting them to implement her “ProtectHer” program. He thought the timing of her Instagram post stirring things up appearing two days later was fishy.
Jones also issued a follow-up statement in which she said if she had known the men in the photo were athletes she wouldn’t have posted the picture. She also lobbied for the opportunity to speak with the players and essentially implement her program.
