Nick Young responds to sexual harassment accusation with tweet
Nick Young responded to a sexual harassment allegation by sending a tweet that he has since deleted.
Young and Lakers teammate Jordan Clarkson were accused by a woman on Instagram of yelling and making “disgustingly vulgar gestures” at her and her mother while being stopped at a red light next to them on the street. You can see her allegations here.
The Lakers are said to be investigating the matter, while head coach Byron Scott talked to his players about it.
Before any of this came out, Young addressed things by sending a tweet that has since been deleted. You can see it here:
Young seemed to accuse the woman of trying to use him for publicity and appeared to indicate the allegation was made up. He either was advised to take down the tweet or realized it was best not to make light of the accusations. He probably should be more careful about his social media behavior in general, as this is not the first time he has made headlines with it and ultimately deleted tweets.
