Patrick Beverley gets into Twitter spat with hosts of ESPN’s ‘His and Hers’
Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley is a pest on the basketball court, and now he’s also one on social media.
Beverley had an eventful day on Twitter Wednesday, getting into some juicy beef with Jemele Hill and Michael Smith, the hosts of ESPN’s “His and Hers.”
The former All-Defensive Second Teamer fired the first shot when he called out the show for a perceived lack of insight.
I never watch analyst sports shows until recently. But after watching this His/Her show. SMH These people have never touched a ball. ???

Hill caught wind of Beverley’s shade and responded thusly:
Well since you have some free time, feel free to come to Bristol and show us how we can do our job better https://t.co/t3c8BHweZ7
— Jemele Hill (@jemelehill) May 11, 2016
Smith then chimed in as a show of solidarity with his co-host:
#pullup https://t.co/2sgkEviMTa

The gloves then came off for Beverley, and he decided to fight fire with fire:
@jemelehill Let me know the time and date and I'm there. In the meantime you put on a rockets jersey and do my job. Since we switching jobs.

@michaelsmith all talk. Perception is reality. But instead, you choose to make the perception worse and your happy with that.

@michaelsmith be happy doing a job that is positive. Bashing people to get ratings up. Smh. Stand for nothing and you will fall for anything
— Patrick Beverley (@patbev21) May 11, 2016
Smith then hit Beverley with the counterpunches:
@patbev21 and you judge a tree by its fruit. my body of work and personal/professional rep speak for themselves. If you're so inclined you
— Michael Smith (@michaelsmith) May 11, 2016
@patbev21 should better familiarize yourself with my commentary and once upon a time my reporting to find out what I'm about. Like my cohost
— Michael Smith (@michaelsmith) May 11, 2016
@patbev21 truth is we don't need the help. More than enough people like what we do. But hey man, we respect your grind and your story. Peace
— Michael Smith (@michaelsmith) May 11, 2016
The episode did, however, end with Hill extending Beverley an olive branch in the form of an offer to come onto their show, to which he appeared to oblige:
@jemelehill I'm there. Thanks for the invite. Can't wait

It appears as though nobody, not free throw shooters, not MVPs, not television personalities, is safe from the fearsome wrath of Patrick Beverley.
