Paul George apologizes to Baker Mayfield for not recognizing him
Paul George had something to apologize for after Oklahoma City’s 127-117 win over the Clippers in Los Angeles on Thursday night, and it had nothing to do with his play.
Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield stuck around in LA after his team lost in the Rose Bowl on Monday. He attended the Clippers’ game against Memphis on Tuesday night, and then he was there to watch them host the Thunder on Thursday.
The Heisman Trophy winner also tried to slap skins with George after OKC’s win over the Clippers, but there was a failed connection as PG13 clearly didn’t recognize Mayfield.

After the game, George tweeted Mayfield to apologize for not recognizing him while still expressing support of him.
All good my dude! Good win!!!!

That was pretty cool of George to reach out to Mayfield after not recognizing him at the game. That must have been a pretty humbling experience for Mayfield. Guess the Georgia linebacker’s wish came true.
