Paul George upset he did not get final shot for Pacers

Paul George is not happy that he didn’t get the last chance to give the Pacers a win over the Cavaliers in Game 1 of their playoff series on Saturday.

With George being heavily guarded by Cleveland, C.J. Miles ended up taking the last shot for Indiana. He had a good look at the basket but missed his shot off the rim, resulting in the Pacers losing 109-108.

After the game, PG13 said that “I’ve got to get the last shot.”

George demanding the ball could appear as if he’s slighting his teammates, but he says that’s not the case.

“I’m confident with all my guys taking shots. That’s not the issue. But in that situation right there, I got to get that.”

Even Miles agreed that they want George taking final shots, but he explained his decision in context.

George’s opinion makes plenty of sense. He led his team with 29 points and went 6-for-8 on threes. Miles on the other hand was 2-for-6, and let’s be real — he’s not a franchise player like George. The Cavs though made it a point to ensure George didn’t take the last shot, with LeBron even saying they could live with anyone except George making that.
