Paul George bought 5,000 tickets for Tamika Catchings’ last regular season game
Sunday will be the final regular season game for WNBA great Tamika Catchings. And, thanks to Paul George, several lucky people will be able to watch the game courtesy of the Pacers star.
George purchased 5,000 balcony seats, which will be distributed to fans on Friday at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse box office.

Since being selected with the third overall pick by the Indiana Fever in the 2001 WNBA Draft, Catchings has become one of the greatest players in the league’s history. She is a 10-time All-Star and took home the Defensive Player of the Year Award five times. Catchings was also named Rookie of the Year in 2002, MVP in 2011, and Finals MVP in 2012. In WNBA history, she ranks first in steals (1,071), second in points scored (7,353), and sixth in assists (1,487).
George and Catchings have become friends during their careers. Hopefully, with the help of George, Catchings will get to play in front of a packed house in her regular season finale and get the sendoff she deserves prior to the Fever embarking on their playoff journey.
