Phil Jackson: Carmelo Anthony ‘very active’ in helping Knicks with free agency
The New York Knicks’ offseason appears to be much more of a collaborative effort this year than it was last year, with Phil Jackson stating that Carmelo Anthony has been heavily involved in the team’s process.
Jackson revealed on Saturday that Anthony has aided the front office in many ways throughout the offseason.
“I think Carmelo’s been very active, he’s been very aggressive, he’s checked in, given us information,” Jackson said, via ESPN’s Ian Begley. “He’s been very much a partner in what we’re trying to do.”
Anthony has been pleased with the offseason, but if he’s been that involved, that’s no surprise. Jackson appears to have heeded his warning and the Knicks are evidently a happier group as a result.
