Phil Jackson teaching Knicks guards about the triangle offense
The New York Knicks, or at least the man running their basketball operations, are serious about the triangle offense.
Coach Jeff Hornacek confirmed Friday that team president Phil Jackson spent part of Thursday morning teaching Knicks guards how to run the offense.

ESPN’s Ian Begley originally reported Jackson’s “hands on” instruction of Knicks guards.
This is interesting, as the Knicks’ most prominent guard has been pretty clear about his dislike of the offense. It’s also fascinating because Jackson is a team president who isn’t really expected to have any say in coaching the players. This will no doubt embolden Jackson’s detractors, who would say Jackson should either coach the team himself or get out of Hornacek’s way.
