Philly fans cheer Joakim Noah’s ankle injury (Video)

Philly sports fans have a reputation for being the most brutal in the country, and it’s been earned over time because of crap like this.

Bulls center Joakim Noah was leading a fast break early in the third quarter of Game 3 between the 76ers and Bulls when he turned an ankle stepping on Andre Iguodala’s foot. Noah’s foot went from being perpendicular to the ground to being parallel with it. It was a brutal sprain, and it left Noah yelling in pain.

And how did Sixers fans react? They began cheering as soon as Noah began rolling around the ground in pain. They were even scolded by announcer Mike Tirico who called it a “very unfortunate reaction from the fans.”

As bad as that display was from Sixers fans, I’m not even sure if it’s the worst thing Philly fans have done. They’ve booed a robot, made a player’s fiancee cry, and they’ve thrown beer at opposing teams.

As we’ve said before, Philly fans are the champion of the lewd, crude, and rude. I’m not sure how they can justify their behavior.

Don’t forget those wretched pukes also cheered when Michael Irvin was laying paralyzed on the turf.

Every time any great athelete comes back to Philly that played in Philly he gets cheered while goto Green Bay and Bret Farve is booed by those fans when he returns and much is the same at other various places in the USA . Im not saying Philly fans are choir boys ….WE’RE NOT! But we also take a bad rap from the media and independent bloggers like  yourself. I just believe that Philly fans are the most passionate, knowledge and loyal fans in the country and as a Philly Sports fan there have been so many heartbreaks, what if’s and “Wait til next Season.” Well next season usually results in the same disappointment. I just think that instead of focusing on the santa claus booing 40 yrs ago or booing Mcnabb at the Draft….yeah like either New York team has never booed a 1st rd pick. Just think Philly fans should be praised for their loyalty to their teams instead of the few situations that make us look bad as fans.

I was there and i did cheer for Michael Irvin when he got strechered off the field and I would do it again looking back on it cuz Irvin’s fine…His career was over but Great as an Eagles fan I hated the guy. I am not saying cheering every player when their hurt on another team is ok but in Irvin’s case i think it was justifiable.

Have you no shame?  Cheering the suffering of another person is sub-human.

Loyalty? Your seats at Sixers games have been empty for a while since Iverson left. Your team has started to play well and your place is still not packed. Bandwagon fans.

Bandwagon fans? You can us a lot of names, and many are probably accurate, but bandwagon is not one of them. You’re comment made you look foolish, and made anything else you have to say irrelevant.

Philly fans you cheered when Joakim Noah went down; well guess what your team is about to lose rather its the Bulls taking your team out of there or Miami; at the end of the day your team is Sorry!

He was temporarily paralyzed after his head hit the ground.  He obviously had a neck injury and was carted off the field to cheering by POS Eagles fans.

Where were you guys this season when you guys had a great start to the season and were killing it. No where to be seen. Obviously a playoff game is going to be packed. But your regular season games are empty with your team playoff bound.
