The Suns are hiring Igor Kokoskov as their new head coach, as reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Kokoskov is a Utah Jazz assistant and will be the first European-born head coach in the NBA.

The 46-year-old Serbian coached at Missouri in 1999-2000 and has been an assistant coach in the NBA since 2000. He was on the Suns’ staff from 2008-2013 and is currently the Slovenian national team head coach, in addition to his duties for the Jazz.
