Rajon Rondo airballs free throw during Kings’ preseason game (Video)

Death, taxes, and Rajon Rondo goofing up at the free throw line.

The newest Sacramento King is already leaving his unmistakable mark on the franchise, and we’re still only in the preseason.

The 29-year-old point guard, who inked a one-year, $10 million deal with the Kings over the summer, stepped to the charity stripe in Saturday’s exhibition contest against the Portland Trail Blazers and hit nothing but net. Literally.

This is nowhere near new territory for Rondo, a career 60.9 percent free throw shooter who posted a preposterous 39.7 percent mark from the line in 2014-15.

While Rondo more than makes up for his foul line misadventures with his unparalleled floor vision, ability to get penetration, and nose for the basketball, it’s probably a good preview of things to come for Kings fans heading into the 2015-16 season.

After all, when it comes to free throw stumblebums at the point guard position, it goes Rondo, Elfrid Payton, and then everybody else.
