Report: Kawhi Leonard not attending USA Basketball minicamp
Kawhi Leonard will not attend the USA Basketball minicamp in Las Vegas this week, according to a report.
ESPN’s Chris Haynes reported on Tuesday that Leonard will not attend the camp in order to prepare for his transition to the Toronto Raptors.

The New York Times’ Marc Stein says Leonard’s decision will not surprise USA Basketball officials.
This won't surprise USAB officials; Jerry Colangelo told me they saw Kawhi's attendance as a "maybe." I would expect USAB to keep the door open for Leonard, since both Colangelo and Pop have said attendance this week is not mandatory, but does Kawhi have down-the-road interest? https://t.co/I4YvHMWItM

The decision from Leonard is slightly surprising considering a report a week ago said that he was seriously considering reporting to camp to prove that he’s recovered from his quad injury. But now that he’s been traded by San Antonio to Toronto, Leonard’s priorities have likely changed.
