Rockets GM not worried about James Harden dating Khloe Kardashian

Fans may be concerned about James Harden dating Khloe Kardashian, but apparently the Houston Rockets are not messing with their MVP candidate’s love life.

Rockets GM Daryl Morey joined “The Doug Gottlieb Show” on CBS Sports Radio Monday and was asked whether he was concerned about Harden dating Kardashian in light of the “Kardashian Curse.”

“No, definitely not,” said Morey. “We just worry about basketball. I think one of the reasons players love playing for the Rockets is we focus on basketball, we focus on winning, we focus on what’s on the floor, and we have professionals who manage their own business off the court.”

The theory is that many athletes who were involved with the Kardashian women — Reggie Bush, Miles Austin, Kris Humphries, Lamar Odom to name a few — saw their careers go downhill. I’m not sure whether scientific evidence supports the theory, but we know Morey does not seem to be worried.

As for Harden, he and Kardashian began dating over the summer. There were reports that they had called off their relationship after Lamar Odom’s medical emergency, but they’re said to be dating again.

Since losing their first three games to start the season, the Rockets have won four in a row and seem to have their season back on track. Maybe that has less to do with a Kardashian and more to do with a Lil B controversy.
