Report: Rockets still trying to get meeting with Kevin Durant
The Houston Rockets might not be in the picture for Kevin Durant, but they’re reportedly still trying to change that.
According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, even though the Rockets aren’t an option now, they are still trying to get a face-to-face meeting with the star forward once free agency kicks off.
PS: The Rockets, I'm told, remain hopeful they get a July face-to-face with Kevin Durant despite knowing they're not presently in contention

It had already been reported that the Rockets aren’t on Durant’s radar, but why should Houston give up? A big part of their offseason plan was set to be devoted to at least making a run at him. James Harden, as far as we know, still plans to recruit him. It won’t hurt them to keep pushing, even if it’s the longest of long shots. They probably feel that if they can get that meeting, they can convince Durant to at least give them some consideration.
