Report: Spurs not taking trade calls on Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi Leonard remains unavailable in the trade market, according to a report.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported during ESPN’s NBA Draft special that teams are making calls about Leonard, but so far, the San Antonio Spurs are resistant to even listening to them.

“A lot of teams in the league would like to get involved with trade talks with San Antonio,” Wojnarowski said, via Jeff Garcia of Spurs Zone. “Those are not being entertained yet by the Spurs.”

This is in line with much of the previous reporting on the story. If at all possible, the Spurs want to keep Leonard in the organization and even offer him the supermax contract extension he’s eligible for. So far, it doesn’t appear anyone has come particularly close to dissuading them from that point of view.
