Steph Curry dismisses injury concerns after Game 2

Steph Curry and Steve Kerr dismissed the notion that the two-time NBA MVP is being bothered by an injury.

Curry did not look like himself in a Game 2 blowout loss to the Houston Rockets. There was some speculation throughout the game that his poor defensive effort and off shooting night was due to him being hampered by his knee injury, which caused him to miss the end of the regular season and first playoff series.

Kerr dismissed that line of thinking when facing questions from the media after the 127-105 defeat.

“He’s feeling good. He’s getting better,” Kerr said. “It wasn’t our night.”

Curry similarly said there were no physical issues.

“I’m feeling great. I didn’t find a rhythm early… frustrating night all the way around,” he said after Game 2.

Curry shot just 7-of-19 and was 1-for-8 on threes. He also seemed to be a defensive liability in the game. His all-around performance led to him being the subject of lots of Twitter jokes.

Curry’s Golden State Warriors are now tied with the Rockets 1-1 in the Western Conference Finals.
