Steph Curry has funny quote about Steve Kerr and breaking record
All the Warriors have to do is defeat the Grizzlies Wednesday night, and the NBA record for most wins in a single season will belong to them. Golden State head coach Steve Kerr might have some mixed emotions about the task at hand, but Stephen Curry doesn’t want to hear any talk about how winning 73 games could be bittersweet.
After the Warriors defeated the Spurs on Sunday to tie the 1995-96 Bulls with 72 wins, Curry was asked if he thinks Kerr will be rooting for Golden State to break the record. Kerr, of course, played for the 1995-96 Bulls.
Steph Curry on if Steve Kerr is rooting for GSW to break CHI's single-season wins record: "He better be."

Coaching a team that wins 73 games would, in many ways, be more impressive than playing on one. There’s no question Kerr is rooting for it, otherwise he would be resting his guys more in advance of the postseason.
We know one of Kerr’s teammates from the 1995-96 Bulls believes that team would smoke this year’s Warriors squad, but we doubt Kerr would agree. He undoubtedly believes any series between the two teams would go seven games.
