Steph Curry MRI is negative, could miss two weeks

Steph Curry sprained knee

There is good news and bad news for Golden State Warriors fans concerning the status of Steph Curry.

The good news is that Curry’s MRI came back negative, according to The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The bad news is the Grade 1 knee sprain means Curry could miss two weeks.

Curry has had a rough time with injuries this postseason. He twisted his ankle during the first half of Game 1 of the Warriors’ playoff series against the Houston Rockets. Then after missing Games 2 and 3 of the series, he returned for Game 4 but suffered a knee injury after slipping on the floor (video here).

The Warriors have managed to lead the Rockets 3-1 in their series without having Curry’s services for the majority of the games, but things may change in the next round of the playoffs when Golden State faces a more challenging team.

For those who all but gave the Warriors the title after a 73-9 regular season, the worst-case scenario is popping up: Steph Curry being hurt. A two-week absence would make it tough for the Warriors to keep winning in the postseason.
