Stephen Curry pain-free, expected to play in Game 4

Bad news for the Houston Rockets: Stephen Curry is apparently ready to go.

According to Warriors coach Steve Kerr, Curry is no longer experiencing pain in his right ankle and is likely to play in Sunday’s game four.

“I’m feeling pretty good, and at the point where I’m kind of ready to get back on the floor and worry about how we’re going to win four games against the Rockets as opposed to where my ankle’s at and all that,” Curry told ESPN. “So hopefully it’s behind me.”

Curry felt that he could have played in Thursday’s game three, but Kerr did not feel comfortable risking his star.

“If I would have got the green light, I definitely would have played and felt confident there,” Curry said Friday. “Hopefully that leads to even more confidence come Sunday.”

The Warriors went 1-1 without Curry, not even counting the fact that he missed virtually all of the second half of game one, and the lone loss was by one point. If Curry is fully healthy and good to go, Golden State has a pretty good chance of wrapping things up fairly quickly.
