Stephen Curry to wear shoes with last year’s stats on them
After a solid first three years in the NBA, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry took his game to another level last season.
Curry set career highs in points (22.9) and assists (6.9) per game. He dropped 20+ points 53 times, 30+ 14 times, 40+ twice and 50+ once. And for good measure, the seventh pick of the 2009 draft established a new NBA record by draining 272 three-pointers, besting Ray Allen’s previous mark of 269.
And there’s more.

Tomorrow night the Warriors will take on the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, the site of Stephen Curry’s 54-point explosion last February. When the leading vote getter among Western Conference backcourt players for this year’s All-Star Game takes the floor, he’ll do so in these.

Will special kicks equal another memorable game at MSG? The Knicks would certainly prefer to not see a repeat of this performance.
