Steve Kerr believes Kevin Durant will return before regular season ends
The signs are positive with regards to Kevin Durant’s health.
Durant participated in a 5-on-5 session Saturday and came through it with no apparent problems, and Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr was clear in his belief that his star forward would be back ahead of the playoffs.
“Yes,” Kerr said when asked if he thought Durant would be back before season’s end, via CSN Bay Area’s Monte Poole.
Kerr did tap the brakes a bit, noting that Golden State had no intention of rushing Durant back into action.
“We’re getting closer, but we’re not there yet,” he added. “He’s doing well, but we have to keep it going and let it play out until he’s completely ready.”
Durant will be evaluated again in a week or so. We’ll probably have a better idea of when he’ll be back after that happens.
