Steve Kerr admits Steph Curry ‘not quite where he needs to be’
Warriors coach Steve Kerr admitted that Stephen Curry is not in optimal shape, but blamed the injury layoff instead of injuries themselves.
Kerr blamed Curry’s struggles against Oklahoma City on the layoff Curry had experienced with his multiple injuries.
Steve Kerr said Stephen Curry was mostly bothered by long layoff: "He may just not be quite where he needs to be, but it’s not an injury."

Curry certainly didn’t seem bothered against Portland, but perhaps there is a fatigue element. Oklahoma City has defended him exceptionally well and forced him to expend a lot of energy just to get halfway decent looks. Perhaps that’s what Kerr means. Either way, he admitted that something just isn’t right, as many suspected.
The coach seemed to discount an earlier report about Curry’s health status, but it may be an instance of the team trying to keep things quiet. It could also be a combination of both. Whatever the case, Golden State has their backs up against the wall, and if Curry keeps struggling they’re likely on their way to a disappointing exit.
