Report: Suns may shop Eric Bledsoe in trade talks
Eric Bledsoe’s name has been coming up in trade talks, and it sounds like the Suns may be willing to deal him.
Prior to the NBA Draft, a report by Sporting News’ Sean Deveney said the Suns discussed trading Bledsoe to the Knicks for the No. 4 overall pick, which New York kept and used on Kristaps Porzingis. Deveney further reported that the Suns have been “dangling” Bledsoe and are likely to continue doing so.
Though Suns head coach Jeff Hornacek said that the team did not make Bledsoe available for a trade on draft night, there seems to be a lot of smoke in the area. And you know what they say about where there is smoke …
Gery Woelfel of the Racine Journal Times reports that the Suns are going to sign Brandon Knight to a five-year, $70 million deal. If they do that, they would have an overflow of point guards and try to trade Bledsoe as a result:
As discussed on tonight's NBA Insiders on @ESPNRadio, there's a growing feeling around the league that Phoenix will seriously explore (1/2)

That Suns will seriously explore their Eric Bledsoe trade options if they indeed strikes the deal w/B-Knight that @GeryWoelfel is reporting

Bledsoe has four years and $57 million remaining on his contract with Phoenix after the Suns broke bread like LeBron James wanted. The Suns already learned the hard way when they had Isaiah Thomas, Goran Dragic and Bledsoe that keeping multiple point guards doesn’t work. Plenty of teams should be interested in acquiring the former Kentucky guard.
