Suns GM says trade of No. 1 pick is ‘unlikely’
Any murmurs about the Phoenix Suns dealing the first overall pick in the NBA Draft should probably be ignored.
Though the organization has floated the possibility of dealing the No. 1 pick, Suns general manager Ryan McDonough made clear on Sunday that such a move, while not off the table completely, has to be considered extremely unlikely.
Said team will invite offers to trade down from No. 1 pick but then smiled and again said it was "unlikely."

No surprise here. Everything the Suns have done since winning the draft lottery indicates that they plan on keeping and making the pick. In fact, there are indications that they already have their minds made up as far as who they intend to use the selection on.
