Brunson, who played several NBA seasons in the 1990s and 2000s with a number of different teams, had been a member of the Timberwolves’ coaching staff since 2016. He worked with the Denver Nuggets, Chicago Bulls and Charlotte Bobcats prior to that and also spent some time as an assistant at the University of Hartford.
Brunson’s resignation marks the second time in a week that an assistant coach from a pro team has stepped down amid allegations that he acted inappropriately toward women.
