Tristan Thompson out ‘multiple games’ with sprained ankle

The team announced Sunday that Thompson would miss “multiple games” after stepping on the foot of a Nuggets player, causing his right ankle to swell up overnight.

Thompson contributes between 20 and 30 minutes per game for Cleveland, but his absence will definitely hurt. They have already lost three of their last four, and Thompson’s absence will further exacerbate a thin frontcourt hindered by Kevin Love’s hand injury.
