Tyronn Lue seems to think Marcus Smart’s big game was fluke
Marcus Smart put together a monster game for the Boston Celtics in their upset win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Sunday night.
Smart led the Celtics with 27 points on 8-for-14 shooting. He was 7 of 10 on 3-pointers, which represents a huge improvement over his career 29.1 percent mark from deep.
Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue seems to be well aware of those numbers and viewing Smart’s big game as a fluke.
#Cavs Ty Lue on going under screens on Marcus Smart: "He shot 15-77 on off-the-dribble 3's this year. He made shots last night"

The point seems to be that the Cavs are willing to live with things if Smart takes a bunch of 3-pointers. They’ll play the percentages and odds, betting that Smart’s 3-point shooting will return closer to his previous levels rather than stay at 70 percent. After all, Smart was 0-for-4 on threes during the series prior to Game 3.
