Vlade Divac calls DeMarcus Cousins ‘most dominant player in the world’

DeMarcus-Cousins

Move over, LeBron James. Don’t even think about throwing your hat in the ring, Kevin Durant. The same goes for you, Stephen Curry. DeMarcus Cousins is the most dominant player in the NBA, at least according to Sacramento Kings general manager Vlade Divac.

Did we say the NBA? We meant the world.

“It’s a no-brainer,” Divac said after Team USA’s rout of China Tuesday night, per James Ham of CSNBayArea.com. “He’s the most dominant player in the whole world. And being from Serbia, I have to root for Serbia, but I feel bad for them. He’s going to kill them.”

Cousins is most certainly an underrated big man, and a lot of that has to do with his attitude and the poor play of the Kings. The 25-year-old quietly had his best year as a pro this past season, averaging 26.9 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. Unfortunately, he makes headlines for saying boneheaded things more often than he does for his skill.

You can’t blame Divac for trying to pump Cousins’ tires given the strained nature of the relationship between player and team, but we all know he isn’t the most dominant player in the world. But is he the most dominant big man in the NBA? You could certainly make an argument there.
