Willie Reed suspended six games for domestic violence incident
The NBA announced on Tuesday that Willie Reed has been suspended six games for an August domestic violence incident.
Reed was arrested and booked on Aug. 6 after reportedly getting into a fight with his wife after she said she wanted a divorce. Police say Reed’s wife showed visible signs of having being involved in a physical struggle, while Reed denied the allegations.
Reed’s wife eventually asked for the charges to be dropped. Reed agreed to enter a diversion program in order to have the charges dropped.
Reed, 27, played in 39 games for the Clippers this season before being traded to the Pistons as part of the Blake Griffin deal.
