Floyd Mayweather Jr. rips Manny Pacquiao with ‘Christmas card’
Most boxing fans have already given up on the prospect of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao getting together in the ring. The list of reasons why the two have not fought during their careers is longer than Mayweather’s credit card statement, but that does not mean Floyd wants people to forget about it.
Mayweather posted the image you see above on Twitter on Monday, referring to it as his “Christmas card to the world.” Promoter Bob Arum recently said that it would be “stupid” if the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight doesn’t happen, despite that fact that Arum has always come up with countless reasons why the two should not square off.
It’s probably no coincidence that Top Rank is suddenly interested in the Mayweather fight, given the fact that Pacquiao is reportedly having some financial issues. Pacquiao’s camp needs the fight more than Mayweather now, and I’m sure Floyd knows it. I still doubt it ends up happening.
