Cam Newton Birthday Cake (Picture)

If you’re like me, you probably looked at the above photo and thought it was a pile of football junk on the floor of a Cam Newton fan’s bedroom. I wish it were, but unfortunately what you’re looking at is a picture of Cam Newton’s birthday cake.  Much like the other athletes of the Inflated Ego Brigade, this cake is a little too much.  I’ll give Cam the benefit of the doubt here, however.  His is nowhere near as ridiculous as Floyd Mayweather money stack birthday cake, and it certainly is a little more modest than LeBron James’ “king” cake.  Still, I think I speak for everyone when I say these “masterpieces” are annoying.  H/T to Deadspin for the picture.

Floyd Mayweather’s Birthday Cake of Money Stacks Is Quite Fitting

We already knew Floyd Mayweather was one of the most egotistical, frivolous characters around, so his birthday cake probably shouldn’t surprise you. Remember, this is the same guy with a $50,000 diamond encrusted iPod (picture here), and the same guy who makes it rain at clubs with $100 bills. Nevertheless, it’s still definitely worth a post here at LBS. Pic via Floyd’s twitter:

So, how do you think it compares to LeBron’s bday cake? Or should I say, who’s the bigger egomaniac?

LeBron James Birthday Cake is Pretty Much Exactly What We Expected (Picture)

For those of who haven’t noticed, I’ve been away for a few days.  One of the last things I got my blog on with before departing was a recap of the d-baggery Tiger Woods and LeBron James showed us over the past year, as both men celebrated the same birthday on December 30th.  A few days later, LeBron celebrated his birthday the only way he knew how — with an overly obnoxious cake.  Naturally, his highness tweeted a picture of it for the fans.  Look at this picture of LeBron James’ birthday cake:

Forgive me for the sideways picture, but that’s the way he tweeted it and it fits better.  Don’t you love the crown on top?  All hail The King.  I’m starting to wonder if this guy has any idea what the word “modest” means.  Maybe we should all take the day off from work for his birthday next year.
