Spring Training to the TroopsThe US will make its World Baseball Classic debut Friday evening at Chase Field in Arizona, and what better way to get you prepped for the game than by sharing a video of one of the Team USA players working out with some of the country’s troops?

As we told you last month, FOX Sports recently led some former MLB greats and current MLB players on a goodwill trip to U.S. Army Garrison Grafenwoehr in Germany. San Diego Padres reliever Luke Gregerson, who posted a 2.39 ERA last season, was one of the players on the trip. In the video above, you can see him doing some morning physical training with the troops in what appears to be extremely cold conditions.

Gregerson is one of the relievers on Team USA, and he helps give the country what should be one of the strongest bullpens in the tournament.

Cobi Jones shows off his ADT protected home

Soccer Hall of Famer Cobi Jones has a home as impressive as his soccer career. The former US Olympian and LA Galaxy player takes viewers on a tour of his home, which is protected by ADT. As you can see in the video, Jones is able to monitor his home using the ADT system on his mobile devices, which is pretty cool and convenient.

On a related note — and you know I don’t throw in personal plugs unless I really do believe something — my parents have had an ADT alarm system at their home for years, and they always feel much safer because of it. Seriously.

You can click here to enter the Home Turf Sweepstakes for a chance to win an ADT system, a year of FREE monitoring, and a trip for 2 to a professional basketball playoff game including tickets, airfare, hotel and spending money.

Spring Training to the TroopsFOX Sports led a contingent of former MLB greats, current players and announcers, and a selection of FOX Sports Girls on a goodwill trip to U.S. Army Garrison Grafenwoehr in Germany recently. Grafenwoehr is one of the Army’s premier training bases in the world, and trip attendees trained with the soldiers -– including morning physical training, as well as various combat simulations. The MLB participants conducted a youth baseball clinic, visited schools on base, and joined solders in a competitive game of wiffle ball.

LBS will be bringing you videos from FOX Sports’ Spring Training to the Troops trip over the next few weeks, so keep your eye out for that. In the video seen above, former Angels great Tim Salmon squares off against FOX Sports Girl Liddy, who actually plunks him during the wiffle ball game.

The wiffle game was the marquee event from the trip. The game paired Major League Baseball players such as David Justice, Heath Bell, Wade Boggs and the FOX Sports Girls with soldiers from the 709th Military Police Battalion and the 172nd Infantry Brigade.
