Jason Terry gets tattoo of Celtics’ leprechaun holding championship trophy (Picture)

Jason Terry revealed a new tattoo that is sure to endear him to Boston Celtics fans.

Terry, who played with the Mavericks the last eight seasons before signing with Boston in July, shared a few pictures of his new tattoo via Twitter on Saturday. His new ink features the Celtics’ leprechaun logo with the championship trophy swapped in where the leprechaun would otherwise be balancing a basketball on his finger. The tattoo appears on the inner part of Terry’s left biceps, opposite the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy tattoo on his right biceps.

Terry’s original championship trophy tattoo became a source of controversy when it was revealed he got the tattoo before the 2010-2011 NBA season began. At that point he hadn’t won an NBA championship, and he promised to get it removed if the Mavericks didn’t win the title.

As fate would have it, Dallas rallied to beat Miami in the NBA Finals, making the tattoo decision look prescient. Celtics fans are hoping the new ink will result in the same outcome.

As an interesting note, the Celtics’ leprechaun logo was actually designed by Red Auerbach’s brother Zang in the early ’50s.

Fan has frightening James Harden tattoo on his arm (Picture)

People love a sixth man with a beard. If you didn’t know that prior to the 2011-2012 NBA season, you know it now. During Oklahoma City’s run to the NBA Finals, James Harden became the most popular bench player in the league. Part of it was the 16.8 points per game and the clutch shooting, but most of it was the beard. We have seen a lot of Harden tributes over the past several months, but the one you see above that Black Sports Online shared with us is by far the most frightening.

We were fine with Harden’s beard made into a cake, arranged out of fruits or plastered on the entrance of a building. Now, it has gone too far. We’ve shown you some scary athlete tribute tattoos over the years here at LBS, but this is easily one of the most disturbing. Are those bits of toilet paper in his beard? Did the artist quit before it was finished? These are the questions.

Patriots fan has massive Rob Gronkowski, Bill Belichick, and Patriots tattoos (Pics)

A man by the name of Michael Andresen who goes by the Twitter handle @ArchangelFury recently shared some pictures of his New England Patriots tattoos. Andersen, who describes himself on Twitter as a “life long Patriots fan” living in Indianapolis, has massive Rob Gronkowski and Bill Belichick tattoos on his forearm (seen above). He also has a massive Patriots tribute tattoo on his right shoulder (seen below):

Reuben Foster changes commitment to Auburn, gets tattoo to prove it (Picture)

Reuben Foster is the top-rated linebacker for the 2013 recruiting class according to multiple recruiting services, and he made some waves when he changed his commitment from Alabama to Auburn last Thursday.

The Auburn (Ala.) High School product said he was announcing his decision so he could put it behind him and begin getting prepared for college.

Foster dressed up his daughter in an Auburn outfit and used her as a prop to announce which school he chose. He also showed off a new tattoo with the Auburn logo on his forearm to show his commitment was really sealed in ink:

Knucklehead Carlos Sturgus identified in shooting because of Yankees tattoo on forehead (Picture)

21-year-old Carlos Sturgus of Mesa, Arizona, was arrested last week for shooting another man. Sturgus was apparently arguing with another man on the balcony of his apartment, and when the man left, Sturgus began shooting at him. A shootout ensued, and one of Sturgus’ shots apparently struck the other man in the back.

According to the Phoenix New Times, Sturgus was found by detectives in Glendale, Arizona, after a witness identified him.

I’ll bet you’ll never guess how he was identified. And no, it wasn’t because of the sneakers he was wearing.

A neighbor helped identify Sturgus to police by informing them he had a Yankees tattoo on his forehead.

He also reportedly told police he was carrying the gun because “he has robbed many people in Mesa and many people want to kill him…”

I’d say something about how dumb this guy is for confessing robberies to the cops while he’s wanted for possession of a firearm and assault with a deadly weapon, but then again, this is the same guy who got a Yankees tattoo on his forehead. You almost have to expect stupidity from stupidity. He’s actually doing the public a favor by getting a tattoo like that because it’s just a shortcut that let’s us all know what an idiot he is.

This Luc Robitaille armpit tattoo is one of the grossest things you’ll ever see (Picture)

As you know, the Kings won their first Stanley Cup in team history on Monday night. Above you see a picture of Kings legend Luc Robitaille celebrating the win with the team. Although he spent 14 seasons and three separate stints in Los Angeles, Robitaille had to venture to Detroit to win a championship. He did, however, score a ton of goals and rack up a ton of points. Unfortunately, he also left a lasting impression on Kings fans. Why is that unfortunate? Because it led to arguably the most disturbing tattoo in the history of sports tattoos. Proceed at your own risk.

Fan has a hideous Tim Tebow Florida tattoo on his shin (Picture)

Well before he put together a winning season and won a playoff game in Denver, Tim Tebow was a major celebrity. Tebowmania was just as real when Tebow was leading the Florida Gators to national championships as it is now. The photo above that Clay Travis shared with us on Twitter is walking proof of that — no pun intended. As you can see, some fan has one of the worst tattoos we’ve ever seen of Tebow in his Florida uniform on his shin.

The sad (but by no means surprising) part is that this is one of the ugliest tattoos known to mankind but it isn’t even the worst Tebow tattoo. It still has to compete with this tattoo that a radio host was forced to get and this lost bet that may be have resulted in the worst tattoo in human history. Keep doing you, Tebowmaniacs.
