Daxter Miles Jr. goes Marshawn Lynch on media: ‘They played great’

Daxter Miles

There wasn’t really much West Virginia freshman Daxter Miles Jr. could have said after Thursday night’s loss to Kentucky other than, “They played great.” So that’s pretty much all he said.

Reporters were anxious to talk to Miles after the Wildcats destroyed the Mountaineers by a score of 78-39. After all, Miles was the guy who boldly predicted that West Virginia was going to make sure John Calipari’s team finished its 2014-2015 season with a record of 36-1.

Not surprisingly, Miles seemed to be at a loss for words.

That included questions about whether he regrets predicting that WVU would spoil Kentucky’s perfect season.

We all knew Kentucky was the best team in the country, but very few anticipated the Wildcats beating their Sweet 16 opponent by almost 40 points. One Kentucky freshman indicated that Miles was the reason for that.

And just think, Miles went all Marshawn Lynch on the media before he even knew what people were saying about him on Twitter. It’s probably safe to assume the 18-year-old learned a very valuable lesson.
