Denzel Valentine defends Buddy Hield
National Player of the Year Denzel Valentine is sticking by his fellow player of the year candidate Buddy Hield.
After Oklahoma was blown out in the Final Four Saturday 95-51 against Villanova, many people were mocking the Sooners (and to a lesser extent, Hield). Not Valentine, though.
The Michigan State star is buddies with Hield and sent out these tweets defending his pal:
Let's not start hating on buddy, come on now!! Yal weren't saying that when he put his team on his back this whole tourney!

That’s pretty nice of Valentine to do. He didn’t have to do it, but he spoke up for his friend. Of course, he knows what it’s like to go out in the tourney after a disappointing performance, so he could relate.
