Przemek Karnowski takes shot to eye, goes down (Video)

Przemek Karnowski

Przemek Karnowski left Saturday’s Final Four game for Gonzaga against South Carolina in the first half after taking a shot to the face, which left his right eye injured.

Karnowski was going up for a shot and got swatted in the face, causing him to hit the ground:

CBS later reported that Karnowski told the trainer he was having trouble focusing his right eye after being hit. He did not play the rest of the half and went into the locker room.

“He got poked in the eye pretty good,” Gonzaga coach Mark Few told CBS at halftime. “They’re checking on it right now. Hopefully we can put like a protective contact in or something.”

The Gonzaga big man had six points and four rebounds before leaving the game.
