Przemek Karnowski after loss: ‘I didn’t deliver’

Przemek Karnowski

Przemek Karnowski made a harsh admission after losing the national championship game on Monday night.

Karnowski, Gonzaga’s big man, was just 1-for-8 in the 71-65 loss to North Carolina. He missed many baskets from mere feet away from the hoop and knows he could have done better.

The 7-foot-1 center took a big part of the blame for not delivering in the title game:

There’s no denying that Karnowski was not as his best. Gonzaga coach Mark Few acknowledged at halftime that Karnowski was just missing some close shots and said the team would continue feeding him. Had he managed to make a few more of his baskets, Gonzaga might have been cutting down the nets.

Still, Karnowski is a big reason why the Bulldogs made it as far as they did, so he shouldn’t hang his head after the defeat.
