Swin Cash an excellent addition to March Madness coverage
Swin Cash is one of the newer faces on the CBS/Turner network family of March Madness coverage, and she has been a great addition.
Cash is a former UConn women’s basketball star who plays for the New York Liberty in the WNBA. She is a two-time WNBA league MVP, so obviously she’s knowledgeable about basketball. But more than that, she is able to communicate in a fun and entertaining way.
Cash brings great energy on the show and is upbeat, smiling, and joking. Her commentary has been insightful and is shared in an entertaining manner.
For instance, fitting in with Turner’s style (e.g. Shaqtin a Fool, Pedro’s Who’s Your Daddy), Cash already has her own bit called #Swinning. In it she’s able to use many trendy/current reference, such as “ran off on the plug.”

An experienced broadcaster who has also appeared on ESPN and MSG, Cash can alternate from having fun to breaking down basketball analytically.
Sorry love but maybe they didn't execute it right but tape don't lie, they were standing in a 1-3-1? https://t.co/hMFXSZUc0k

On a set full of guys like Matt Winer, Seth Davis and Wally Szczerbiak, having someone of a different gender and personality like Cash is great to mix things up and add a new element. It’s nice to see an entertaining woman who knows the game also appear on the analyst set, which is traditionally occupied by men.
