Report: Tom Crean candidate for Georgia job
Tom Crean’s absence from the college basketball coaching ranks may only last a year.
According to Gary Parrish of CBS Sports, Crean is likely to be a candidate for the Georgia job vacated by the fired Mark Fox.
It would be Crean’s first job back in coaching since he was fired by Indiana at the end of the 2016-17 season. Given that Fox was only fired Saturday morning, this search likely has a ways to go first.
Crean hasn’t been particularly close to landing any coaching job since his firing, and hasn’t even been linked to many. It would be, at the very least, a power conference job where Crean would likely have some clout.
