Adoree Jackson’s dad did not look too thrilled about USC announcement (Video)

Even though Adoree Jackson announced midday Wednesday that he was going to play college football at USC, his signed letter of intent had not been sent to the school several hours later. There has been some speculation that his father, Christopher, may have something to do with the delay. If you watched the video of Jackson’s announcement, that speculation makes plenty of sense.

Though Adoree, a five-star recruit from Serra High School in Gardena, Calif., and his mother seemed to be thrilled when he made his announcement, Christopher did not. He still gave his son a handshake and bro-hug, so all wasn’t terrible, but he didn’t seem to be as ecstatic as the rest of the people were. Maybe that’s just his personality. Or maybe he liked what LSU or Florida had to offer a little more. In fact, LSU Rivals reporter Mike Scarborough said that Jackson’s dad had the papers and wanted his son to choose LSU:

I’m guessing this will all get sorted out soon (it was — Jackson sent in his signed letter of intent later in the evening). Just have pops shake a couple of USC boosters’ hands and be done with it. Jackson is a great player and should do big things at USC. It’s a huge pickup for the Trojans.
