Internet reacts to Alabama badly missing field goal
Alabama had an opportunity to score the first points in the National Championship Game against Georgia on Monday, but a badly missed field goal prevented them from getting on the board.
Kicker Andy Pappanastos missed a 40-yard attempt wide left. The kick never had a chance. Of course, the internet reacted to the badly missed kick. Take a look:
Chris Fowler: “He rarely misses from this range.”

Many also pointed out the consistent struggles Alabama has in the kicking game:
How the greatest coach in modern college football history — and perhaps all-time — frequently fields an unreliable kicking game is beyond me.

Alabama's struggles with kickers are the craziest weakness for Saban's dynasty. Year after year, it never changes.

It’s weird that Nick Saban’s one problem all these years is finding a halfway decent kicker to come play for a powerhouse program.

Pappanastos is 16 of 22 on field goal attempts for the season after missing that kick.
