Auburn scores touchdown on fake handoff that fooled cameraman (Video)

Auburn trick playAuburn scored a touchdown against Missouri in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday that involved a fake handoff so good it totally fooled the CBS cameras.

On Auburn’s second possession of the game, they had a 3rd-and-8 at the Missouri 38. They called for a fake handoff that fooled the cameraman, but Missouri’s defensive end actually stayed home and prevented Nick Marshall from rolling to the sideline. Marshall abruptly stopped, cut up field, and heaved the ball to the end zone for Sammie Coates, who hauled in the 38-yard touchdown pass to make it 7-3.

It was typical Gus Malzahn beauty in action. Even though Auburn allowed a TD to Missouri on the ensuing possession, they scored right after that to reclaim the lead.
