Cal fires recruiting coordinator Pierre Ingram after prostitution arrest
Cal fired assistant football coach Pierre Ingram on Friday, eight days after he was arrested for soliciting a prostitute.
“As you are aware, Assistant Football Coach Ingram was placed on paid administrative leave following his recent arrest for solicitation. We are not renewing his contract and he will no longer represent or act on behalf of this University in any capacity,” the school said in a statement.
The Contra Costa Times reported that police say Ingram “solicited an undercover officer online and then showed up April 16 at the Motel 6 on Embarcadero.”
Ingram spent three years under Sonny Dykes at Louisiana Tech before making the move with the coach to Cal. After spending his first two seasons in the Bay Area as running backs coach, he was promoted to recruiting coordinator, wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator.
Ingram, 30, has a wife and two young children.
