Ex-BC football player says he has video proof of X-rated recruiting parties

The Louisville basketball program was placed on probation last year and head coach Rick Pitino was suspended five games stemming from allegations that parties involving strippers and alcohol were thrown for recruits, but one former football player says such events are common in college athletics.

Jamall Anderson, who was a running back at Boston College in the 1990s, says he committed credit card fraud to help fund parties for BC recruits that involved strippers and underage alcohol consumption. Anderson provided a two-minute video to TMZ, and he says it shows one of the parties that took place in 1995.

“What you see on the video is just us outta control, just drinking, had strippers,” Anderson said. “We just did it all. We tried to be the best at everything in every aspect.”

A representative for Boston College told TMZ that the video depicts “unacceptable behavior” that does not reflect the culture instilled at the school.

“This 22 year old video, which is alleged to have taken place at Boston College, depicts unauthorized and unacceptable behavior that does not reflect the culture of BC or the standards to which our student-athletes are held,” the rep said.

Anderson came forward with the footage to promote the release of his new book, “The Best Bet.” The former tailback was one of a group of players who were kicked off the team for their involvement in sports betting, and he is looking to shed light on some of the wild things that go on with college football players to prevent young athletes from making the same mistakes he did.

The allegations against Louisville sounded shocking to some, but others like Anderson obviously were not surprised.
