Furniture store will refund purchases if Ohio State wins national title

Urban Meyer Ohio State

Thanks to a 59-0 dismantling of Wisconsin in the Big Ten championship game, Ohio State is one of the four teams in the the inaugural college football playoff. Ohio State will face Alabama in the Sugar Bowl with a potential meeting with either Oregon or Florida State to follow if they are victorious. If the opening lines from Vegas are any indication, many feel the Buckeyes will be over matched by the Crimson Tide.

In Ohio, Morris Home Furniture Store and Ashley’s Furniture Home Store are giving the opportunity to show your faith in the Buckeyes. Purchases in excess of $1,999 from locations in Dayton, Cincinnati, and Columbus by 7:00 pm on December 30 will be refunded if Ohio State wins the national title and does so by seven or more points.

Rob Klaben, vice president of marketing and advertising at Morris Home Furniture Store, told the Dayton Daily News their support for Ohio State was in part because of the “Cinderella” story they have become.

The Buckeyes are on their third quarterback of the season after Braxton Miller was lost to a shoulder injury in August and JT Barrett went down against Michigan. Sophomore Cardale Jones led the team to a surprising rout of Wisconsin and will be at the controls against Alabama.

Ohio State has been doubted throughout the season only to come up winners. Two more impressive performances could net atleast 700 people free furniture.
