Landon Collins’ brother Gerald Willis III upsets mother again by picking Florida (Video)
Remember two years ago when five-star high school defensive back recruit Landon Collins committed to Alabama and his mother was incredibly disappointed? Collins is from Louisiana, and his mom is a huge LSU fan. Earlier this week, another one of her sons betrayed her.
Gerald Willis III, a top high school defensive end who happens to be Collins’ brother, committed to Florida after the Under Armour All-America Game on Thursday. Willis had narrowed his decision down to Florida and LSU. Like his big brother, he decided to go against mom’s wishes.
“It is what it is,” Willis’ mother said. “Florida Gators, that’s where we’ll be. LSU’s still number one.”
The good news for mom here is that she now has two sons playing Division-1 college ball, which means they have a chance to be incredibly successful in life. The bad news? They both play for SEC rivals.
