J.T. Barrett arrest video: ‘I’m the quarterback of Ohio State’ (Video)

JT Barrett Ohio State

Video of J.T. Barrett’s arrest video has surfaced, and the quarterback tries to get out of trouble by telling officers that he’s the Ohio State quarterback.

Barrett was arrested on Halloween for operating a motor vehicle while impaired. In the video obtained by TMZ Sports, he is seen being questioned by officers about the smell of alcohol on his breath, and the quarterback claims he had nothing to drink. He then goes through field sobriety tests, and the officers decide that Barrett needs to be arrested.

As he’s being arrested, Barrett tells the officers “I’m the quarterback of Ohio State. Is there anything you can do?” The officer’s response: “My intention is to not take you to jail. That’s about the best I’m doing for you tonight.”

Barrett curses twice, apparently at himself, once he’s in the police car, and the officers can’t help but laugh when they learn that fellow quarterback Cardale Jones is going to be picking Barrett up.

Barrett had his license suspended for 180 days as a result of the arrest. He was also suspended for one game and had his scholarship revoked for next year.
