Jim Harbaugh delivers great line about loss to Michigan State
Earlier this month, Michigan suffered a heartbreaking loss to rivals Michigan State when a would-be punt by the Wolverines turned into a game-winning touchdown for the Spartans.
Michigan was so close to victory, but their fortunes changed in the blink of an eye. Not surprisingly, hypothetical situations started to fly. What if Blake O’Neill was able to get the punt away? What if the Wolverines elected not to punt? Former head coach Brady Hoke argued Michigan should have run an offensive play.
While it’s nice to wonder, the game is over and it’s time to move on. And, that’s exactly what Harbaugh and his team are doing. During Monday’s session with the media, Harbaugh let it be known he has no interest in scenarios that didn’t happen in regards to the game against Michigan State.
Harbaugh says he's not into "ifs" or "thats" … "If worms had machine guns, birds would be scared of them."

As for where it came from, Harbaugh isn’t exactly sure.
Harbaugh says he's not sure if he made up the worms/machine guns deal … "Somewhere along the way I got it in my brain."

After going 5-7 last year, you won’t find many who expected the Wolverines to be 5-2 right now, even with Harbaugh and his quirkiness there to work magic. If you wanted to go a step further, they were ten seconds from being 6-1. However, Jim Harbaugh doesn’t want to hear any of that noise.
