Jimbo Fisher rips referees over chop block call after loss
Jimbo Fisher was livid with the referees after Florida State’s 37-34 loss to Clemson in Tallahassee on Saturday, and the Seminoles coach ripped into them in his postgame news conference.
Fisher was particularly upset with a chop block call that erased a long Dalvin Cook run when FSU was up 28-26.
“Ridiculous. It’s not a chop. I’m gonna tell you what: you hold coaches accountable, players accountable, hold the damn officials accountable. It’s garbage. And then to call another penalty on the sideline is even more garbage. It’s cowardly, gutless, and wrong.”
