Johnny Manziel tells Lamar Jackson not to go to Browns

Johnny Manziel

If the Cleveland Browns are once again the worst team in football next season, they could end up in a position to draft Heisman Trophy favorite Lamar Jackson in 2018. For Jackson’s sake, Johnny Manziel is hoping that doesn’t happen.

Manziel, who knows plenty about winning the Heisman and playing in Cleveland, told TMZ this week that he believes Jackson is a lock to be named college football’s best player. The former NFL quarterback didn’t say much else, but he emphatically shook his head and finger “no” when asked what would happen if Lamar ends up with the Browns.

“Lamar is gonna go somewhere else,” Manziel said while laughing.

Here’s the video:

We all love mocking the Browns for how terrible they are, but Manziel should realize he is part of the reason for that. The franchise took a chance by drafting him in the first round a few years ago and it blew up in their face. Had Manziel worked hard and stayed out of trouble, he would probably still be the quarterback in Cleveland.

Instead, Manziel is reportedly spending his time blowing insane amounts of money while partying. Jackson probably doesn’t want to be drafted by the Browns, but something about Manziel taunting a team he helped ruin just isn’t right.
